EN: BOSS GP presents 2025 dates

The 31st season in the history of the BOSS GP Racing Series takes Europe’s fastest racing series to six of Europe’s best circuits, including the classic Nürburgring, Monza and Spa.

As in previous years, the season will kick off at the Hockenheimring, where BOSS GP will once again be one of the main attractions at the ADAC Hockenheim Historic in 2025. Spectators can expect a motorsport celebration in honour of Jim Clark, who died in an accident in Hockenheim in 1969. Tickets: www.hockenheim-historic.de/en/info/tickets

One month later, the series will return to the Nürburgring after its successful return in 2024, giving BOSS GP a German double to kick off the season. As part of the Nürburgring Classic, many fans will come to the Eifel region a week before the 24-hour race to attend this first-class event. Tickets: www.nuerburgringclassic.de/en/visitors/tickets-en.html

In summer, after a season break, the series will return to the Parco di Monza, where BOSS GP is part of a new event organized by the promoters of the open-wheel junior series Eurocup-3. To have driven once on the famous high-speed track of Monza is a must for every circuit driver. Admission prices for spectators are not yet known.

Around 100,000 fans expected at Jack’s Racing Day will then see the racing series back at the TT Circuit in Assen from August 8 to 10. With free admission, the full range of racing will once again be on display in 2025, with the BOSS GP Racing Series at the forefront with its big single seaters.

A month later, the series will race for a second time in Italy: At the Mugello Circuit, BOSS GP will once again set the fastest lap times of the year. The event will be hosted by PNK Motorsport. Tickets can be purchased at a reasonable price at the box office.

With the races at Spa-Francorchamps, BOSS GP brings the season to a close at what is currently arguably the most popular racetrack in the world. Legendary corners such as Eau Rouge and Blanchimont make the hearts of racing enthusiasts beat faster. In addition, the program (Thursday to Saturday!) of the “Six Hours” offers unique highlights of motorsport history. Tickets will be available here soon: www.spasixhours.com/en/ticketing

In 2025, the championship will be more compact than in previous years and, with the exception of the final race at Spa, the races will be spread out across a period of five months. This will give the teams the opportunity to prepare their cars optimally between the individual events. As in previous years, each race weekend will feature two free practice sessions, a qualifying session and two sprint races. This means that there will again be 12 races in the 2025 season.

Before the start of the season, BOSS GP teams and drivers will also have the opportunity to prepare for the season at the official BOSS GP pre-season test at the Hockenheimring. Please save the date for Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Further details will be communicated soon.

Drivers can register for the new season as of February.

Race calendar 2024 revealed

By New Year’s Eve, the BOSS GP Racing Series has published its dates for its anniversary season.

In the 30th year of Europe’s fastest and, for many, most exciting racing series, the teams and drivers of the BOSS GP Racing Series will once again be on tour in Europe. The organisers have succeeded in combining familiar race tracks and new events. Once again, only circuits with the highest safety standards were selected. This ensures that the infrastructure offers only the best conditions and that the drivers compete on the same tracks where Formula 1 and MotoGP are usually in action. Not to forget the unforgettable atmosphere at events such as the Jim Clark Revival in Hockenheim or Jack’s Racing Day in the Netherlands.

RACE TRACKS AND EVENTS

The 2024 season will once again kick off at the Hockenheimring (3-5 May), where tens of thousands of spectators will once again await the cars and their drivers in the packed Motodrom. Three weeks after the ADAC Hockenheim Historic, the long-awaited comeback will take place at the Nürburgring (24-26 May). The Nürburgring Classic at the legendary circuit in the Eifel will be one of the highlights of the season.

Following this, we will hit the track for the series’ home race in Spielberg (7-9 June), where the BOSS GP Racing Series will make its second appearance as the highlight of the Red Bull Ring Classics. This will be followed by another appearance in Assen (2-4 August), where a full house at the legendary TT Circuit will once again get to hear the unique sound of our line-up at Jack’s Racing Day (free entry!).

The finale will again be a double-header in Italy in Autumn. First up is one of the favourite tracks of many drivers, the Mugello Circuit (11-13 October) in Tuscany. This will be followed three weeks later by the “Grande Finale” at the Misano World Circuit (1-3 November), a track that has delivered exciting races in recent years and has been well appreciated by the teams and drivers. Due to the track grading, no Formula 1 cars will be on track at the finale.

ENTERTAINMENT WITH FORMULA 1 CARS: THIS IS F1 CAR LEGENDS

However, after the successful test event in Brno in 2023, these cars will have the opportunity to compete in a new show race format called “F1 Car Legends” in 2024. The two dates at the Grand Prix de France Historique in Le Castellet (19-21 April) and at Jack’s Racing Day in Assen from the 2nd to the 4th of August have already been confirmed. More details on this offer for Formula 1 car owners will be available shortly at www.bossgp.com

RACE FORMAT AND APPLICATION

As in the past, there will be two races per race weekend in addition to the practice and qualifying sessions. Whoever collects the most points in his or her class at the end of the year will be crowned champion. Last year, this was the case for Ingo Gerstl (BOSS GP F1 Class), Antonio Pizzonia (OPEN), Simone Colombo (FORMULA) and Henry Clausnitzer (SUPER LIGHTS).

The regulations for the 2024 season and the registration forms will be published on www.bossgp.com soon. The documents from the previous year are available as a reference for interested participants: www.bossgp.com/forteams

No BOSS GP race in Assen

Travel restrictions prevent arrival.

The race weekend of the BOSS GP Racing Series at the Gamma Racing Days in Assen, planned for 26th and 27th September, had to be cancelled. Stricter measures to contain the corona virus in many European countries are preventing numerous team members of the international BOSS GP starting grid from travelling to Assen.

There is currently no additional event planned for the cancelled race in the Netherlands. The next BOSS GP race is scheduled for 10th October at the beautiful Mugello F1 and MotoGP circuit in Italy.

Preview & Guide Imola

BOSS GP brings back world-class motorsport to Italy this weekend.

The 26th BOSS GP racing season kicks off with Forza Fanatec in Imola (July 11th-12th), where the season finale is set to take place just 15 weeks later. The BOSS GP races are the first major motorsport event in Italy after the lockdown. Just like the races in Spa at the beginning of August (1-2), the meeting is a two-day event without spectators on site.

In Imola, there are a couple of new drivers and cars on the grid. All eyes are certainly on the 22-year-old Italian Riccardo Ponzio, who will make his debut with a 2002 Formula 1 car from Jaguar. With Ulf Ehninger (Benetton B197) and OPEN champion Ingo Gerstl (Toro Rosso STR1) two more Formula 1 cars are in the mix.

Other debutants are Austrian hill-climb specialist Christian Ferstl, former touring car ace Roman Hoffmann (both GP2) and Michael Aberer (AUT, WSbR). Also participating for the first time in the FORMULA class are Estonian Bruno Jarach and Italian Roberto Vanni, who will compete in the only Formula 3000 car.

They will take on champion Marco Ghiotto (Scuderia Palladio), Luca Martucci (MM International) and Florian Schnitzenbaumer (Top Speed), among others. We can also be excited about the first appearance of Salvatore De Plano in the A1GP Lola car of Coloni.

The new dry tyre from Pirelli in purple also makes its debut. This tyre is intended to enable experienced drivers to achieve faster lap times and make it easier for less experienced drivers to handle the “black gold”.

Modern and historic sports car and touring car series will round up the Gruppo Peroni event, as well as the Lotus Cup and the Alfa Revival Cup.

When are the BOSS GP cars on track?

BOSS GP goes to Spa

Europe’s fastest racing series will be driving together with the DTM in Belgium on 1-2 August.

With the famous corners of Eau Rouge, Blanchimont and Stavelot, the participants can expect an unforgettable experience in a formula racing car. For the first time since 2011, the legendary circuit of Spa-Francorchamps will become part of the BOSS GP race calendar once again. The second race weekend in the Belgian Ardennes will take place on 1 and 2 August together with German touring cars. The event will last two days, as usual with two BOSS GP races in the program.

According to current information, no spectators are planned. However, in cooperation with the DTM, BOSS GP will provide a free live stream for its international fans.

Six races spread over four months and in four different countries, all on current or former Formula 1 or MotoGP racetracks. Despite the difficult circumstances this year, the BOSS GP Racing Series is able to present a very attractive racing calendar to its participants and fans.
